Coronavirus Information

Due to the Sars-CoV-2 outbreak, we have no choice but to cancel the TeaP 2020. We will provide you with more information soon.

Current information: The TeaP 2020 has been cancelled.

(Status of information: March 11, 2020)

The organizing committee of the TeaP 2020 takes the health and safety of conference participants, speakers, sponsors and staff very seriously. Hence, we are closely following the current situation regarding the novel coronavirus (Sars-CoV-2). We are in close contact with officials of the university of Jena and the health department. The current situation is dynamic, and information is being shared on a daily basis. Based on current information, there is no reason for us to assume that the event will be cancelled.

On this page you find some general recommendations, information on proactive steps we took, as well as some helpful links.

General recommendations

  • In order to prevent the transmission of the novel coronavirus and any other infectious disease, we want to stress the importance of following the usual hygiene precautions. The most important steps are a proper hand hygiene, coughing and sneezing etiquette, and keeping enough distance between yourself and others. Please avoid shaking hands or hugging people as part of a greeting.
  • In case of illness-especially when displaying flu-like symptoms like cough, pain when breathing, and fever-we ask you to refrain from coming to the university and advise you to immediately call a doctor for advice on how to proceed further. In particular this applies in case you have recently been to one of the risk areas (see here, or here, respectively). Contact information for local doctors will be provided on this page soon.
  • In case you come from or have recently been to one of the risk areas (see here, or here, respectively), and thus consider not to attend the conference, please contact teap2020@uni-jena.de.
